For many years he played a significant role in training UNDP Resident Representatives and UN reps in media handling, both at HQ and overseas, with a particular emphasis on coaching for interview techniques. The UN's training section also called upon him to help with training senior officials at HQ.

He has conducted training sessions for journalists and UN staff in places as far apart as Albania, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Macedonia and Morocco. He also conducts customized courses on interview techniques, press release writing, public speaking and media relations for governments, NGO's and companies. Recent courses include Counterpart and Fauna and Flora International in Washington and several commercial companies.

His previous and continuing experience, as speech writer and speaker, pundit, interviewee, interviewer, columnist and reporter gives him a special edge in media training - since he has been on both sides of the camera!
